About Wood Street Mission

According to recent data, there are over 89,000 children living in poverty in Manchester and Salford. 

Many of the children we help live without the basic essentials that every child should have. They lack warm or dry bedding, a coat to walk to school in or books of their own to read at home.

Wood Street Mission aims to meet practical family needs and alleviate their worries. We can help with items such as clothing, toiletries, baby equipment, bedding, toys, books and school uniform.

We also provide services that make a difference for children in the long term, including projects that promote learning and improve literacy.

By taking part in this challenge, you will help local children affected by poverty when they need it most.
